The Galerie Christian Lethert, founded in 2006, represents a reference point for abstract-minimalist art in Germany, every year the protagonist of numerous fairs, including Art Cologne (to be held from 17 to 21 November 2021) and The Armory Show, also collaborating with many emerging artists such as Natascha Schmitten, as well as more established artists of the caliber of Gereon Krebber and Pius Fox.<\/p>\n

Until January 2022, the Cologne exhibition space will host the exhibition “Thank You Error”, with works by these two representatives of the contemporary German scene.
The focus is on mediums: sculpture and painting are constantly studied and analyzed, from tradition to innovation.<\/p>\n

Krebber is a sculptor, who has exhibited in several international galleries such as Spazio Luparia in Stresa and the Bloomberg Space in London and who, since 2007, has been working with the Gallery.
The artist plays with the diversity of materials, renewing them: he uses ceramics to gelatin and wood, thus questioning the traditional methods that characterize sculpture, with a research that aims to explore in-depth the possible changes in the material.<\/p>\n

An example part of the exhibition is “Tn\u00f6sis (2021)”, a work in which ceramics are used in an unusual way, in order to recreate a hive: the material is modeled in a rounded shape, which refers to the bees, and inside it has created inserts in order to allow the insects themselves to live there.<\/p>\n

On the other side we find Pius Fox, a painter, who over the years has developed his own personal imprint (as can be seen in the relationships with several galleries including Galerie Martin Mertens in Berlin, Galerie Conrads in D\u00fcsseldorf, Pablo’s Birthday Gallery in New York).<\/p>\n

From the beginning, Fox focuses his art on the geometric element that over the years will become his distinctive feature: “Summadoor (2021)” and F\u00e4denzieher (2021)”, where the fundamental role of geometry is undeniable.<\/p>\n

His art focuses on the abstraction of reality by focusing on the structure of the works: Fox wants to open new spaces in the mind of those who observe them, also thanks to the use of forms that together create a strong balance.<\/p>\n
